Of course I’m talking about looks of motorcycles and accessories, because, well, this is a motorcycle blog and that’s all I can really talk about. However, I really do think looks are important to motorcycle riders and Here’s why:
3. Gear that looks better is probably safer
It is important to wear the right gear when riding a bike, because if you get into a motorcycle accident it is much more dangerous than a car, and even not wearing a jacket could give you severe road burn and leave your flesh exposed. Nicer quality helmets that have better safety features often cost more, so it leaves companies more room to make them look cleaner or put designs on the helmet to attract customers, another example of a better looking piece of gear being safer.
2. More good more better
If a motorcycle, specifically sportbikes, looks sleeker it’s probably a better performing motorcycle. As handling and speed have increased in the motorcycle world, so have appearance. So, just by association most people are going to like a better looking bike.
3. You gotta look good, you gotta have fun
As a wise man once said, you gotta look good to feel good, and you gotta feel good to have some fun. If you want to love riding, you’re going to have to love your gear and bike. People that buy a bike they don’t like just to have one aren’t going to have a good experience and might even quit riding. Plus, if you’re embarrassed of your gear or bike, you’re going to be discouraged riding. Half the fun of riding is interacting with people on the road that like your bike almost as much as you do, and sitting on a bike that not even you are in love with might take that away from you.
