Insurance is Evil

This isn’t really about bikes so much as cars since motorcycle insurance is really cheap, but you need insurance for both, so I’m gonna count it. Insurance, for me and other people of my age, is really expensive even if you are a safe driver.

Now, in America at least, burden of proof is placed on the accuser and everyone is guilty until proven innocent. For insurance companies, however, you need not be guilty but just be within certain groups to be charged an outrageous amount. If you’re under 25 for example, watch how expensive it will be to insure even the most rickety cars. For a merely 10 year old car, it could cost as much as $4,000 a year to insure it, which is what they want me to pay for a 2009 Impala even though I have a clean driving record. If you’re a guy, by the way, forget being able to feasibly afford insurance until you’re 25.

In conclusion, this may be a shorter post, but it’s important. People can’t survive if everything costs these outrageous amounts for young people, which have the least money to pay for it by the way. There are laws to stop discrimination in the workplace for old people, because they can learn to do things just like everyone else can. So, why aren’t there laws in place for young people that can drive safe just like the average person.
